Springtime energy on our campuses

by Ryan Boccuzzi, interim head of school/Upper School director

There are signs all around us that we are racing toward spring: We are days away from enjoying post-7 p.m. sunsets, the Upper School musical opens next Thursday, spring sports are starting on both campuses, and we welcomed our newly admitted 9th grade students to the Upper School campus this past week. At the Middle School, the 5th graders are getting ready to head out to Naturebridge — the first of the spring outdoor trips that our middle schoolers take every year. Both campuses are abuzz with springtime energy as we prepare for the final third of the year and we look forward to all the traditions that come with it.

I want to personally thank all of you who connected with me at recent parent/guardian coffees and webinars or through other means to express your support during our leadership transition. Our entire team appreciates your care and partnership. Our talented and dedicated leadership group is collaborating closely with each other, with teachers, and with students. You can expect to hear more details about events celebrating Kai Bynum and Lakeside’s head of school search in the coming weeks; in the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to all of your usual contacts with any questions.

I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events this spring and please feel free to introduce yourself if we have not already met!
